This is a list of piano trios by Joseph Haydn, including the chronological number assigned by H. C. Robbins Landon and the number they are given in Anthony van Hoboken's catalogue of his works. (Hoboken's listings of Haydn compositions are divided by musical genre, and the piano trios as a category are grouped under the Roman numeral prefix XV.) Haydn's early trios are considered minor works and are seldom played except in the context of complete editions. In contrast, the later trios, starting in the mid-1780s, reflect the composer's full musical maturity and are greatly admired by critics.

- Joseph Haydn composa quarante et un trios pour piano et cordes entre 1750 et 1796. Ils se rapprochent dans leur cadre formel de sonates pour violon et piano avec accompagnement de violoncelle. Par la richesse et la profondeur expressive, ils se situent musicalement au même niveau que les quatuors à cordes. En 1968 le musicologue H.C. Robbins Landon établit un catalogue révisé de tous les trios portant le nombre à quarante cinq. Mais deux d'entre eux n'ont pas été conçus sous la forme de trio, deux autres ont disparu et deux ont été attribués à un autre compositeur. Ce qui donne trente-neuf ouvrages authentiques disponibles.
