| - Luník IX je městská část Košic, součást okresu Košice II na Slovensku. Nachází se západně od a je obklopen městskými částmi , , Barca, Juh a Západ. Má rozlohu kolem jednoho kilometru čtverečního. Sídliště bylo od začátku koncipováno jako romské ghetto. I v současnosti má největší hustotu romského obyvatelstva na Slovensku a je považované za největší ghetto ve střední Evropě. Počet obyvatel k roku 2019 se odhadoval na pět až šest tisíc. (cs)

- Luník IX ist ein Stadtteil von Košice im Osten der Slowakei. Der Stadtteil wurde in den 1970er Jahren in Plattenbauweise gebaut und war als Wohngebiet für Angehörige der Armee, der Polizei sowie der Roma-Minderheit konzipiert. Nach der politischen Wende 1989/90 und dem Wegzug nahezu aller Einwohner slowakischer Ethnizität entwickelte sich der Stadtteil zu einem ethnischen Ghetto. Ursprünglich für etwa 2000 Einwohner konzipiert, wohnen in Luník IX heute mehr als 6000 Menschen in teils verfallenen Plattenbauten. Hygienische und soziale Missstände wie Arbeitslosigkeit machen ihn zu einem Lehrbeispiel für verfehlte Sozialpolitik während und nach der kommunistischen Ära. (de)

Depuis la fin des années 1990, le quartier fait face à des difficultés sociales croissantes, avec un taux de chômage dépassant les 90 %. Du fait qu'il soit habité exclusivement par des populations roms très souvent en grande précarité, il est désormais considéré comme un ghetto ethnique, parmi les plus grands de Slovaquie et d'Europe centrale.
