Lydiadas of Megalopolis (Ancient Greek: Λυδιάδας ὁ Μεγαλοπολίτης) was an ancient Greek tyrant of his city Megalopolis in Arcadia. He came to power around the year 245 BC, but after ten years he decided to step down, leading his city to join the Achaean League. As a reward the Achaeans elected him to the post of strategos, that is (commanding general) of the League, for three terms in 234/33, 232/31 and 230/29 BC. In 227 BC he lost the elections against Aratus of Sicyon, but was chosen as hipparch, in this position he fell at the gates of his city during a cavalry charge against the Spartan king Cleomenes III.

Sembla que va pujar al poder en el temps en què Antígon II Gònates es va fer amo de Corint (244 aC) però probablement abans Pausànies el menciona com un dels comandants de les forces de Megalòpolis contra Agis IV d'Esparta, associat a un altre general. Chr.) war ein griechischer Staatsmann und Heerführer. Zunächst war er ab 242 v. Chr. Tyrann seiner Heimatstadt Megalopolis auf der Peloponnes. Den Berichten des Polybios und Plutarch zufolge verzichtete Lydiadas im Jahre 234 v. Chr. freiwillig auf seine Herrschaft über Megalopolis, das sich dem Achaiischen Bund anschloss. Dieser bestimmte daraufhin Lydiadas zu seinem Strategen, ein Amt, in dem sich Lydiadas bis 229 v. Chr. mit Aratos von Sikyon ablöste. In dieser Zeit war der Bund in Kämpfe mit dem makedonischen König Demetrios II. verwickelt, der schließlich 229 v. Chr. fiel. Lydiadas diente auch in der Folge als Heerführer dem Achaiischen Bund und kam 227 v.
