Chester Clarence McCutcheon III (born July 15, 1952) is the speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives. He is a Republican who was first elected to the state legislature in 2006. He was elected Speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives on August 15, 2016. He was re-elected Speaker of the House on January 8, 2019. McCutcheon has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice administration from Trinity University. He was a police officer in Huntsville, Alabama prior to his election to the state legislature. He has also worked as a farmer and is a member of College Park Church of God.
