Marcel Charles Lapierre (b. 1907 -d.1979) was French bow maker / Archetier who has been described as a "Maker of very fine bows much sought after by soloists." Born 1907 in Mirecourt, served his apprenticeship in Jérôme Thibouville Lamy from 1921 to 1923. After his apprenticeship he joined Brouiller & Lotte's workshop. From 1931 to 1936 he worked with Francois Lotte, before joining Louis Bazin and Louis Morizot. In 1946 he came to Genève and joined the Pierre Vidousez's workshop. In 1948 he returned to Mirecourt to start his own workshop first at rue Vuillaume and then rue Gambetta.

Reconnu pour son travail de précurseur, cet artisan-vigneron établi au Domaine des Chênes à Villié-Morgon, dans le Beaujolais, a repris un domaine familial en 1973 et imposé une idée singulière du vin, fondée sur une compréhension nouvelle de la microbiologie du sol et du végétal. C'est le négociant et dégustateur Jules Chauvet, rencontré au début des années 1980 à La Chapelle-de-Guinchay, qui l'a incité à redécouvrir l'importance du labour des vignes et du rôle des levures indigènes dans la genèse de l'arôme des vins fins. Le morgon non filtré non soufré de Marcel Lapierre et son beaujolais nouveau vinifié au Château Cambon ont servi de modèle à une jeune génération de vignerons[réf. nécessaire] attachés à produire des vins naturels et expressifs, en respectant à la fois le cep et le caillou et en laissant de côté les produits phytosanitaires, les engrais chimiques, les levures industrielles et le dioxyde de soufre (SO2) employé à hautes doses en vinification.
