Matthew Dubourg (1703 – 3 July 1767) was an English violinist, conductor, and composer who spent most of his life in Ireland. Among other achievements, Dubourg led the orchestra at the premiere of Georg Friedrich Handel's great oratorio Messiah.

(fr) Matthew Dubourg (Londres, 1703 - Londres, 1767) Fou un director d'orquestra anglès que va passar la major part de la seva vida a Irlanda. Entre altres èxits, Dubourg va dirigir l'orquestra en l' estrena del gran oratori de Händel, el Messies. El 17 de juny de 1727 es va casar amb Frances, filla del músic Bernard Gates a Stanmore, Middlesex. Tenien, una filla anomenada Elizabeth, que es va casar amb l'oboista Redmond Simpson el 22 de setembre de 1753, i van tenir un fill. Allievo di Geminiani dette il suo primo concerto ancora bambino alla Thomas Britton's house.Tra il 1728 e il 1752 fu maestro di cappella a Dublino. Nel 1752 divenne maestro di cappella di Londra, posto occupato fino alla morte. Si racconta che in un concerto, alla presenza di Händel,avesse improvvisato una cadenza con modulazioni e variazioni di tema assai complesse cosicché il maestro tedesco affermò, una volta che il violinista tornò alla tonalità d'impianto: "Bentornato a casa, signor Dubourg."Il 13 aprile 1742 a Dublino dirige la prima assoluta del Messiah di Händel.
