Max Jacob (born 10 August 1888 in Bad Ems; died 8 December 1967 in Hamburg) was a German puppeteer and the developer of the Theatre in the 1920s. Kasper Theatre, or Kasperle, is the German equivalent of Punch and Judy, a traditional form of puppetry which has its origins in the Italian commedia dell'arte.
