Men in the Sun (Arabic: رجال في الشمس, romanized: Rijāl fī al-Shams) is a novel by Palestinian writer and political activist Ghassan Kanafani (1936–72), originally published in 1962.Men in the Sun follows three Palestinian refugees seeking to travel from the refugee camps in Iraq, where they cannot find work, to Kuwait where they hope to find work as laborers in the oil boom.

Ha estat traduïda a moltes llengües; en 2009 n'aparegué la versió catalana, traduïda de l'àrab per . La seva descripció dels tràngols i inseguretat de la vida dels refugiats palestins i el seu rerefons polític i psicològic (criticant subtilment la corrupció, el derrotisme i la passivitat política dins de la societat àrab i palestina) va tenir un fort impacte en el debat cultural i polític àrab del seu temps. In het boek, dat in het standaard Arabisch is geschreven, beschrijft Kanafani Palestijnse mannen die uit Irak trachten te ontkomen naar Koeweit, waar zij een beter leven hopen te kunnen hebben. De mannen worden in een tankwagen door de woestijn gesmokkeld, in de verzengende hitte van de zon, en zullen de tocht niet overleven. Het beschreven verhaal probeert de kennelijk uitzichtloze situatie van veel Palestijnen in de wereld weer te geven. (nl)
