Michael Hindley (born 11 April 1947) is a British politician who served in the European Parliament. Hindley was born in Blackburn and attended Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, the University of Lancaster, the Free University of Berlin, and the University of London. He became a lecturer, and was also elected to , serving as its leader from 1981 until 1984. At the 1983 general election, he stood unsuccessfully for the Labour Party in Blackpool North.
