| - Mona Douglas MBE RBV (18 September 1898 – 8 October 1987) was a Manx cultural activist, folklorist, poet, novelist and journalist. She is recognised as the main driving force behind the modern revival of Manx culture and is acknowledged as the most influential Manx poet of the 20th century, but she is best known for her often controversial work to preserve and revive traditional Manx folk music and dance. She was involved in a great number of initiatives to revive interest and activity in Manx culture, including societies, classes, publications and youth groups. The most notable and successful of these was Yn Chruinnaght. (en)
- Gníomhaí cultúrtha Manannach, béaloideasóir, file, úrscéalaí agus iriseoir ab ea Mona Douglas MBE RBV (18 Meán Fómhair 1898 – 8 Deireadh Fómhair 1987). Aithnítear í mar cheann feadhna ar an bhfeachtasan taobh thiar d’athbheochan nua-aimseartha an chultúir Mhanannaigh agus aithnítear í mar an bhfile Manannach is mó tionchair den 20ú haois, ach is fearr aithne uirthi as a saothar a bhi conspóideach go minic chun ceol tíre traidisiúnta agus damhsa an oileáin a chaomhnú agus a athbheochan. Bhí baint aici le líon mór tionscnamh chun suim agus gníomhaíocht i gcultúr Mhanann a athbheochan, lena n-áirítear cumainn, ranganna, foilseacháin agus grúpaí óige. Ar an gceann ba shuntasaí agus ba rathúla díobh seo bhí Yn Chruinnaght (Gaeilge na hÉireann: An Cruinniú) (ga)
