- The Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group, known by the French acronym GICM (Groupe Islamique Combattant Marocain), is a Salafi jihadist terrorist organisation affiliated with Al-Qaeda. The GICM is one of several North African terrorist franchises spawned in Afghanistan during the tenure of the Taliban. The organisation and its associated members have been linked to major terrorist attacks including the 2003 Casablanca bombings that killed 33 people and wounded more than 100, and the 2004 Madrid train bombings that killed 191 people and wounded over 2,000. A crackdown against the organisation's numerous cells in Europe is thought to have since significantly damaged the GICM's capabilities. (en)

El GICM es uno de los distintos grupos armados del norte de África que se formó en campos de entrenamiento de Al Qaeda en Afganistán en los años noventa. Junto con otros grupos vinculados a Al Qaeda, el GICM fue considerado como parte del terrorismo internacional por la Resolución 1267 del Consejo de Seguridad de las Naciones Unidas, poco después de los atentados del 11 de septiembre de 2001. - Le Groupe islamique combattant marocain (GICM) est une organisation armée islamiste sunnite affiliée à Al-Qaïda. Son principal fondateur est Abdelkrim al-Medjati, devenu émir pour le Maghreb et l’Europe après les attentats de Madrid. Selon les services secrets marocains, serait son chef militaire. Il est lié aux autres groupes islamiques takfiristes maghrébins. Un autre membre influent du groupe aurait été un certain Mohamed Moumou, également connu sous le nom d'Abou Qaswarah, mort en Irak en 2008. (fr)
- Il Gruppo islamico combattente marocchino (Groupe Islamique Combattant Marocain - GICM) è stato un gruppo terroristico. Come altri gruppi maghrebini trae origine nella guerriglia afghana degli anni ottanta. Il GICM è stato associato con vari attacchi terroristici. Tra questi vi sono:
* gli attacchi a Casablanca del maggio 2003, in cui sono morte 45 persone, di cui 12 attentatori suicidi;
* gli attentati dell'11 marzo 2004 a Madrid (tra cui la stazione di Atocha), con 191 vittime e circa 2000 feriti;
* gli attacchi a Casablanca del marzo-aprile 2007, con 1 morto e 4 feriti. (it)
- De Marokkaanse Islamitische Strijdersgroep is een Marokkaanse soennitisch islamitische terreurorganisatie die banden onderhoudt met Al Qaida. De organisatie is beter bekend onder haar Franse naam: Groupe Islamique Combattant Marocain (GICM). De GICM ontstond rond 1990, het is niet duidelijk of de groep nog steeds actief is. De GICM financierde haar acties onder andere met drugshandel in Noord-Afrika en Europa. (nl)
