It formed an enclave within Rajgarh State and was placed administratively under the Bhopal Agency subdivision of the Central India Agency. The state covered an area of 1,920 square kilometres (740 sq mi) and had a population of 92,093 and an average revenue of Rs.5,00,000 in 1901. - Narsinghgarh fou un estat tributari protegit a l'Índia central, agència de Bhopal, amb els territoris en mig dels de l'estat de Rajgarh. La superfície era de 296 km². Estava a la comarca de Umatwara a Malwa, anomenada així pel clan Umat dels rajputs, al qual el sobirà de Narsinghgarh pertanyia; limitava al nord amb Indore, Khilchipur i Rajgarh, a l'est amb Maksudangarh i Bhopal, a l'oest amb Dewas i Gwalior, i al sud amb Bhopal i Gwalior. - Narsinghgarh (Narsingarh) war einer der Fürstenstaaten der Central India Agency von Britisch-Indien im heutigen Bundesstaat Madhya Pradesh. Seine Hauptstadt war der Ort Narsinghgarh. Aus dem Vorgängerstaat Umatwara, dessen Rajputen-Fürst seit 1448 den Titel Rawat trug, entstanden 1681 durch Erbteilung die Fürstentümer Rajgarh und Narsinghgarh. Im Verlauf der Marathenkriege kam Narsingharh unter die Oberhoheit des Holkar von Indore. Narsingharh war 1818–1947 britisches Protektorat und hatte 1948 eine Fläche von 1920 km² und 140.000 Einwohner. Rawat Hanwant Singhji wurde 1872 zum Raja erhoben. (de)
