The National Centre of Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology (French: Centre national de recherche en anthropologie sociale et culturelle, CRASC) is an Algerian governmental research organisation in social sciences created by the decree 92-215 on May 23, 1992. The Centre operates under the aegis of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, its headquarters is located in Oran. The primary missions of the CRASC are:

Inscrit dans le système national de recherche, il est passé du statut de Centre de Recherche et de Développement (CRD) (1992) à celui d’Etablissement Public à caractère Scientifique et Technologique (EPST en 2002 révisé en 2008). placé sous la tutelle administrative de la Direction Générale de la Recherche Scientifique et du Développement Technologique et du Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique et dont le siège se trouve à Oran. Il est dirigé actuellement par le sociologue, Professeur MANAA Ammar. (fr)
