Niels Jacob Jensen Laache (6 November 1831 – 5 February 1892) was a Norwegian revivalist, writer, and bishop. Laache was born in 1831 in Ullensaker, Norway. He received his theology degree in 1858 and became a priest in 1863. For the next 20 years, he served as pastor, revivalist preacher and local politician in Steinkjer, Eidanger, and Arendal. In 1883, he was appointed as the bishop of Trondhjems stift, a post which he held until his death in 1892. He was also the editor of the Christian magazine For Fattig og Riig. He was decorated Knight of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav in 1885.

  • Nils Jacob Laache, född den 6 november 1831 i Ullensaker (övre Romerike), död den 5 februari 1892 i Trondhjem, var en norsk biskop. Laache fick torftig folkskoleutbildning, arbetade några år som butiksbiträde i Kristiania, blev student 1855 och teologie kandidat 1858 samt verkade därefter i inre missionens tjänst. Särskilt tog han väsentlig del i redigeringen av uppbyggelsetidningen "For fattig og rig" och ingrep kraftigt i den religiösa väckelserörelse, som på 1850- och 1860-talen gick över landet och är förknippad särskilt med professor Gisle Johnsons verksamhet. Som präst arbetade Laache i Trondhjems stift 1864–78 och därefter i ; 1883 utnämndes han till biskop över nyssnämnda stift. (sv)
