The obelisk at Prague Castle is a granite monolith and World War I memorial designed by Jože Plečnik, installed at Prague Castle in Prague, Czech Republic. It stands 16 meters high. It is located in the Third Castle Courtyard. The obelisk was donated by Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. It was erected in late 1928 to mark the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the First Czechoslovak Republic. The obelisk was originally to have been much larger, but while it was being transported to its intended location in 1928, it broke in two, and only part could be salvaged.

- Obelisk na Pražském hradě či též Mrákotínský monolit je vysoký štíhlý čtyřboký monolitický komolý jehlan stojící na třetím hradním nádvoří v blízkosti Starého proboštství odhalený u příležitosti výročí 10 let od vzniku Československa v roce 1928. Postaven byl jako památník padlým během první světové války. Jeho autorem je slovinský architekt Josip Plečnik. Iniciátorem a donátorem stavby byl první československý prezident Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. První monolit vylomený v roce 1923 se však při nehodě na cestě rozlomil a bylo nutné vylomit monolit druhý. Ten se zdárně povedlo do Prahy dopravit a začátkem listopadu 1928 byl vztyčen. (cs)

Ten se zdárně povedlo do Prahy dopravit a začátkem listopadu 1928 byl vztyčen. Obelisk však nebyl dokončen celý, neboť chybělo jeho vrchní ukončení. To bylo doplněno až v roce 1996 na popud českého prezidenta Václava Havla. (cs)
