The Oktoberfest of Blumenau is a festival of German traditions that happens in middle October in the city of Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil. It is considered the biggest German festival in the Americas, and the second biggest Oktoberfest celebration in the world after the original Oktoberfest from Munich. It takes place at Parque Vila Germânica (Germanic Village Park), located in the Bairro da Velha (District of the Old Woman), and lasts for 18 days.

| - Das Oktoberfest Blumenau ist ein seit 1984 alljährlich Anfang Oktober stattfindendes Volksfest in Blumenau in Brasilien. Das dem originären Münchner Oktoberfest nachempfundene Fest findet auf dem „Deutsch Village Park“ statt und dauert 18 Tage. Anlass hierfür war der Bedarf an Finanzmitteln für die notwendigen Wiederaufbaumaßnahmen nach den großen Überschwemmungen des Rio Itajaí-Açu 1983 und 1984. In den letzten Jahren hat sich das Fest mit über 600.000 Besuchern jährlich als das nach dem Karneval in Rio de Janeiro zweitgrößte Volksfest Brasiliens etabliert. Dies hat den Bekanntheitsgrad der Stadt auch in Deutschland gesteigert, was auch im Hinblick auf den Tourismus von Bedeutung ist. Die 30. Ausgabe fand 2013 statt, wobei seit Bestehen insgesamt an die 20 Millionen Besucher zu zählen sind. 2012 betrug der Bierkonsum über 650.000 Liter. (de)
