Peter Buxton (born 21 August 1978, in Cheltenham) is a former rugby union footballer who played flanker previously for Gloucester Rugby. When Buxton was in his teenage years, he attended Cleeve School in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. He was the 'Star Player' throughout his time as a student. Buxton was named among the replacements for England's clash with the Barbarians in 2004 and picked for England's summer tour to South Africa in 2007, but had to withdraw after breaking his hand in Gloucester's Premiership final defeat to Leicester. He was ultimately never capped for the senior side.
