- Peter von Bohlen (9 March 1796, in Wüppels, in the Wangerland Gemeinde – 6 February 1840, in Halle) was a German Orientalist and Indologist. He was a professor at the University of Königsberg. He spent the first 20 years of his life in strained circumstances. His talents and perseverance attracted attention, and he obtained admission to the Hamburg gymnasium. He afterward studied the Eastern languages at Halle and Bonn. He then obtained an appointment at Königsberg, first in 1825 as extraordinary, and afterward in 1830 as ordinary professor of oriental literature. (en)

- Peter van Bohlen, född 9 mars 1796 i , död 6 februari 1840 i Halle an der Saale, var en tysk orientalist och en av pionjärerna för det tyska sanskritstudiet. Bohlen var en fattig bondson och innehade diverse anställningar innan han 1817 fick tillträde till skolan i Hamburg, där han stannade i fyra år. I Halle studerade han under Wilhelm Gesenius och skrev Symbolæ ad interpretationem Sacr. Cod. Ex lingva Persica (1822). I Bonn, där han studerade arabiska under Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Freytag och sanskrit under August Wilhelm von Schlegel, skrev han Commentatio de Montenabbio (1824).
