Pfäfers Abbey (German: Kloster Pfäfers), also known as St. Pirminsberg from its position on a mountain, was a Benedictine monastery in Pfäfers near Bad Ragaz, in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Situated at the junction of the Tamina and Rhine valleys, it flourished as a religious house and owner of lands and serfs, as well as assuming extraordinary importance as a political and cultural centre of the Chur–Raetian region.

Jahrhundert gegründet und 1838 durch einen Beschluss des Grossen Rates des Kantons St. Gallen aufgehoben. Die barocken Klostergebäude aus dem 17. Jahrhundert beherbergen seit 1845 die kantonale psychiatrische Klinik St. Pirminsberg. Die ehemalige Abteikirche St. Maria dient der katholischen Kirchgemeinde Pfäfers als Pfarrkirche. (en) L'abbaye de Pfäfers, appelée Kloster Pfäfers en allemand et surnommée St. Pirminsberg de par sa situation géographique au sommet d'une montagne, est une ancienne abbaye bénédictine située sur le territoire actuel de la commune saint-galloise de Pfäfers, en Suisse. (fr) De abdij Pfäfers was de zetel van een abdijvorstendom binnen het Heilige Roomse Rijk. Het benedictijner klooster St.Maria Assumpta werd in het midden van de achtste eeuw gesticht als Reto-Romaans klooster. Tijdens de Karolingen werd het een vrije rijksabdij. De abdij bezat goederen in het aangrenzende , in de Vinschgau, in Vorarlberg en bij het Vierwoudstrekenmeer. Uit de immuniteit ontwikkelde zich een staat, waartoe Ragaz en behoorden. Desondanks bleven de hoogheidsrechten in handen van de abt. Tot de Franse Revolutie was de abdij een vrije rijksabdij. (nl)
