Υπήρξε σύμμαχος του εξαδέλφου του βασιλιά της Γαλλίας Φιλίππου Αυγούστου και ένας από τους σημαντικότερους αντιπάλους του Ριχάρδου του Λεοντόκαρδου στις εκστρατείες των Γάλλων εναντίον του. Ως ιερέας μπορούσε να πραγματοποιεί ή να διαλύει γάμους. Χοροστάτησε στο γάμο του Κορράδου του Μομφερράτου με την Ισαβέλλα Α' της Ιερουσαλήμ κόρη του Αμαλρίκ Α' στην Πολιορκία της Άκρας (του οποίου το διαζύγιο είχε επικυρώσει), ενώ επικύρωσε και το διαζύγιο του εξαδέλφου του, Φίλιππου Αυγούστου με την Ίνγκεμποργκ της Δανίας, βασίλισσα της Γαλλίας. - Felipe de Dreux (Philippe de Dreux; 1158-1217) fue un noble francés, obispo de Beauvais y miembro destacado de la Tercera Cruzada . Fue un militar activo y aliado en el campo de Felipe Augusto, rey de Francia y primo suyo,convirtiéndose en rival, tanto en Francia como fuera de Ricardo I. También era solicitado como oficiante y deshacedor de matrimonios. Presidió la ceremonia matrimonial de Conrado de Montferrato en el Sitio de Acre, con Isabel I de Jerusalén, hija de Amalarico I, cuyo matrimonio fue anulado. También intervino en la anulación del matrimonio entre Felipe Augusto e Ingeborg de Dinamarca. (es)
- Philip of Dreux (Philippe de Dreux; 1158–1217) was a French nobleman, Bishop of Beauvais, and figure of the Third Crusade. He was an active soldier, an ally in the field of Philip Augustus, the French king and his cousin, making him an opponent in campaigns in France and elsewhere of Richard I of England. He was in also in demand as a priest, to make and break marriages. He presided over that of Conrad of Montferrat at the siege of Acre, marrying him to Isabella I of Jerusalem, daughter of Amalric I, whose marriage he annulled. He was also party to the annulment of the marriage between Philip Augustus and Ingeborg of Denmark. (en)
