A pocket protector is a sheath designed to hold writing instruments and other small implements in a shirt's breast pocket, protecting it from tearing or staining. Il a été récompensé Brevet US 2417786 pour le dispositif le 18 mars 1947; le brevet a été déposé le 3 juin 1943 Gerson Strassberg, magnat de la plasturgie de Long Island, revendiqua une concurrence pour l’invention vers 1952.
