| - Der 126. Psalm ist ein biblischer Psalm aus dem fünften Buch des Psalters. Wie alle Psalmen von Nummer 120 bis 134 wird er im ersten Vers als Wallfahrtslied bezeichnet. Das so übersetzte hebräische Wort deutet wohl auf die Stufen, die zum Tempels hinaufführen, hin. Diese Psalmen wurden wahrscheinlich bei der Wallfahrt nach Jerusalem gesungen. (de)

- Žalm 126, též známý jako Šir ha-ma'alot (hebrejsky שיר המעלות, „píseň stupňů“ nebo také „poutní píseň“), je žalm z Knihy žalmů a jedna z poutních písní. V latinském překladu Knihy žalmů je znám pod názvem In convertendo Dominus. V judaismu se na šabat a o svátcích zpívá před birkat ha-mazon („požehnání po jídle“). Tento zvyk vychází z halachické povinnosti připomínat si zničení jeruzalémského chrámu i v okamžicích radosti a spokojenosti (zde: sytosti). Ve všedních dnech se za tímto účelem recituje žalm 137, který se však svou pochmurnou atmosférou do radostné atmosféry šabatu a svátků; zkáza chrámu je proto připomínána nepřímo, jako nevyslovený kontrast s radostí z vykoupení a návratu, která je tématem tohoto žalmu (cs)

In Latin, it is known as In convertendo Dominus. It is one of the fifteen Songs of Ascent in the Book of Psalms whose opening words in Hebrew are "Shir HaMaalot" (שיר המעלות בשוב ה’, a Song of Ascents). In the slightly different numbering system used in the Greek Septuagint version of the Bible and in the Latin Vulgate, this psalm is Psalm 125. (en)
