G1-a is one of the subsidiary pyramids of the Giza East Field of the Giza Necropolis, located immediately to the eastern side of the Great Pyramid of Giza. It was built during the Fourth Dynasty of Egypt. The tomb is the northernmost of the three pyramids of the queens and has a base of 49.5 metres (162 ft) wide and originally a height of 30.25 metres (99.2 ft); the pyramid has lost two-thirds of its original height. In the west wall of the burial chamber a small niche was dug in which were found fragments of basalt. It is also known as the Pyramid of Hetepheres I as discovered by Mark Lehner; it was originally thought to belong to Queen Meritites I.

| - La piràmide G1-a és una de les quatre piràmides subsidiàries que hi ha al sector oriental de la necròpoli de Gizeh. Les altres piràmides subsidiàries que l'acompanyen són la G1-b, la G1-c i la G1-d. Es troba emplaçada just al costat oriental de la gran piràmide, i va ser construïda durant la IV Dinastia d'Egipte. Aquesta tomba és la més septentrional de les tres piràmides de les reines. Té una base de 49,5 metres d'ample i originàriament tenia una alçada de 30,25 metres i una inclinació de 52°; la piràmide ha perdut dos terços de la seva alçada original. L'entrada es troba a la paret nord. Dins de la piràmide, un passadís baixa fins al punt mig de l'estructura abans de convertir-se, cap a la dreta, en una petita cambra funerària tallada a la roca i aflorada amb blocs de pedra calcària. Tot i que hi ha un rebaix esculpit a la paret oest de la cambra, no s'hi va trobar cap sarcòfag. A la paret oest de la cambra funerària s'hi va excavar un petit nínxol on s'hi van trobar fragments de basalt. També es coneix com la piràmide d’Hetepheres I, tal com va descobrir Mark Lehner; originalment es pensava que pertanyia a la reina Meritites I.

- La pyramide G1A est l'une des quatre pyramides subsidiaires du complexe funéraire de Khéops. Elle est la plus au nord des trois pyramides dites des reines.Elle a une base de 49,50 mètres de côté et une hauteur originelle de 30,25 mètres. Cette pyramide a perdu les deux tiers de sa hauteur initiale. Dans le mur ouest de la chambre funéraire fut creusée une petite niche dans laquelle furent découverts des fragments de basalte. Le secteur est de la pyramide garde les traces d'une plate-forme qui supportait peut-être une chapelle funéraire mais aucun élément ne permet encore de l'affirmer. La sépulture est attribuée par l'égyptologue Reisner à la première épouse de Khéops, la reine Mérititès Ire, en raison de sa proximité avec le mastaba de son fils Kaouab Ier. Mark Lehner, quant à lui l'attribue à la reine Hétep-Hérès Ire, de par la proximité du tombeau avec sa cachette royale.
