The Qasr al-Bint is a religious temple in the Nabataean city of Petra. It faces the Wadi Musa and is located to the northwest of the Great Temple and to the southwest of the Temple of the Winged Lions. One of the best preserved of the ancient structures surviving in Petra today, it stands near the monumental gate and was a key focal point on the colonnaded street, as well as a focus of religious worship.

Wzniesiona z bloków piaskowca budowla została zbudowana na planie kwadratu o boku 32 m i wysokości zachowanej do 23 m. Przypuszczalnie stanowiła miejsce kultu boga Duszary. Posadowiona na trzymetrowym podium świątynia składa się z szerokiego przedsionka, celli i potrójnego adytonu. Przedsionek posiadał portyk w antach wsparty na czterech kolumnach o średnicy 2 m i monumentalne wejście zwieńczone łukiem. W bocznych adytonach znajdują się schody, wiodące dawniej na niezachowane do czasów współczesnych półpiętra i dach. Zewnętrzna część świątyni była bogato zdobiona m.in. doryckim fryzem, stiukowymi panelami i pilastrami. (pl)

Apesar disso, a alvenaria de silhar, usada em sua construção, é vulnerável a danos causados pela vibração do solo durante os terremotos. O plano simétrico de Qasr el-Bint pode ter ajudado a reduzir os momentos de torção que ocorreram durante a atividade sísmica no local. O uso de cursos de cordas de madeira também pode ter aumentado a capacidade de dissipação de energia da estrutura.
