Raches (Greek: Ράχες) is a village and a former municipality on the island of Ikaria, North Aegean, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Ikaria, of which it is a municipal unit. With a population of 2,163 inhabitants (2011 census) and a land area of 101.768 km2, it is the largest in area, smallest in population, and therefore the least densely populated of the three municipal units on Icaria. The other two municipal units are Agios Kirykos and Evdilos.

| - Ο Δήμος Ραχών λειτούργησε σύμφωνα με το Σχέδιο Καποδίστριας ως δήμος του νομού Σάμου από το 1999 έως το 2010 με έδρα τον Χριστό. Ήταν ένας από τους τρεις δήμους, στους οποίους διαιρείτο διοικητικά η Ικαρία και ένας από τους οκτώ του νομού Σάμου. Ο Δήμος Ραχών βρισκόταν στα δυτικά του νησιού, περιελάμβανε τρία δημοτικά διαμερίσματα, είχε συνολικό πληθυσμό 2.238 κατοίκους και έκταση 101,8 τ. χλμ.. Ήταν ο μεγαλύτερος σε έκταση δήμος της Ικαρίας. Με τη διοικητική διαίρεση του 2011 (Σχέδιο Καλλικράτης), από 1 Ιανουαρίου 2011 εντάχθηκε στο νέο διευρυμένο Δήμο Ικαρίας της Περιφέρειας Βορείου Αιγαίου. Christos war der Verwaltungssitz des Westteils der Insel, der bis 2010 die eigenständige Gemeinde Raches war. Inmitten von Pinienwäldern gelegen, leben in Christos Raches etwa 350 Menschen. Ikaria, das oft als "roter Fels" bezeichnet wird, findet in Christos Raches eine kommunistische Hochburg. Des Weiteren ist Christos Raches deshalb erwähnenswert, da die Bevölkerung im Gegensatz zu anderen Bergdörfern griechischer Inseln einen komplett unterschiedlichen Lebensrhythmus aufweist. Während der Vormittag und der Nachmittag noch für den mediterranen Raum typisch verschlafen werden, erwachen die Bewohner von Christos Raches viel später als die Bewohner anderer Bergdörfer: Um 21:00 beginnt der Ort, zum Leben zu erwachen, um Mitternacht öffnen die letzten Geschäfte, gegen drei Uhr endet der "Tag".
