Ramses Wissa Wassef (1911–1974) was an Egyptian Coptic architect and professor of art and architecture at the College of Fine Arts in Cairo and founder of the Ramses Wissa Wassef Art Centre.
رمسيس ويصا واصف فنان ومعماري مصري من الجيل الثاني، ولد لأب يعمل بالسياسة هو السياسي الكبير والنائب الوفدي المخضرم ويصا واصف والذي كان محبا للفنون، درس ويصا الابن في فرنسا وتأثر كثيرا بالمنهج التجريبي في الفن، وهو ما كان له أكبر الأثر عليه عند عودته ودفعه لخوض تجربته الفريدة التي أسس خلالها مركز الفنون المحلية في قرية الحرانية في محافظة الجيزة المصرية، نجح المركز إلى حد كبير في إعادة توطين فنون صناعة السجاد والكليم في تلك القرية، وسريعا اكتسبت منتجات المركز شهرة عالمية وأصبحت حديث المعارض الدولية لما فيها من تلقائية فنية وحس أصيل، عند وفاة رمسيس ويصا واصف كان للمركز سمعة كبيرة وشهرة واسعة في مختلف بيوت التصميمات العالمية. Ramsès Wissa Wassef (né le 9 novembre 1911 au Caire et mort le 13 juillet 1974) est un architecte et designer égyptien, professeur d'art et d'architecture à la faculté des Beaux-Arts du Caire (Université Helwan). Ramsès est également un potier et tisserand qui a appris à de nombreux enfants défavorisés égyptiens à tisser des tapisseries. Le père de Ramsès Wissa Wassef était un avocat, chef de file du mouvement nationaliste qui a persuadé le Parlement égyptien à développer les arts en l'Égypte. (fr)
