Research on Armenian Architecture (RAA) is a non-governmental organisation NGO (Foundation since 2010) established in Aachen, Germany, in 1982 by Dr. Armen Hakhnazarian. Long before its official creation, RAA interests and activities have been carried out since the late 1960s. In 1996, RAA USA was founded, followed by RAA Armenia in 1998. Until 2020, Samvel Karapetian was the director of the RAA-Armenia.Jora Manucharian is currently the chairman of the board of trustees of the foundation, and RAA-Armenia is governed by a board of directors: (Samvel's wife), managing director; , co-director administrative and publications; , co-director architectural activities; Armen Gevorgyan, co-director computers and technology

Atividades O propósito da Research on Armenian Architecture é investigar e documentar monumentos armênios localizados fora da atual fronteira da Armênia, conhecida como Armênia-Histórica (antigos distritos armênios na Turquia, Irã, Geórgia e Azerbaijão). A fundação também produz estudos em assentamentos de Armênios da Diáspora na Síria, Turquia, Líbano, Índia, Rússia entre outros. Com o trabalho, pesquisa e atividades desenvolvidas, a RAA possui uma importante base de dados contendo mais de 380.000 imagens digitalizadas, medidas, plantas, mapas, arquivos material e etc., os quais se tornaram base para inúmeros trabalhos científicos, não só para os armênios, mas também para toda a comunidade internacional.
