Richard Edwin Fox (February 3, 1956 – February 12, 2003) was an American murderer who was executed by the state of Ohio for the kidnapping and murder of an 18-year-old college student whom he lured to her death with the fake promise of a job interview. He was also suspected of killing his wife in Oregon in 1983. A three-judge panel convicted Fox of aggravated murder and kidnapping and sentenced him to death on June 27, 1990. He spent 12 years, 7 months, and 16 days on death row as his case was appealed through the state and federal court systems.
