| - La Costera del Corall és el nom que rep un tram costaner de Sardenya nord-occidental al sud de la planura de la Nurra, on es troba la ciutat de l'Alguer. Es diu així per la gran importància del coral vermell que es pesca a les seves aigües i es treballa per elaborar joies i adorns des de l'època de l'antiga Roma. És una regió turística, urbana i natural, composta gairebé íntegrament pel municipi de l'Alguer, amb vistes a la Mar de Sardenya, més precisament en la badia de l'Alguer. En zones no urbanes, s'hi troba el Parc natural regional de Port del Comte, i com a part d'aquest, també l'Àrea natural marina protegida Cap de la Caça-Illa Plana. A més de la ciutat de l'Alguer hi ha algunes frazione o entitats de població (nuclis), entre les quals Fertília, Maristel·la i o Tramarill (Tramariglio en italià), llocs tranquils que se superpoblen en els mesos d'estiu. Al territori s'hi troba també l'aeroport de l'Alguer-Fertilia, que sempre ha estat una força impulsora en el desenvolupament de la Costera i que atrau a la ciutat nombrosos turistes tant italians com estrangers gràcies a la major oferta de destinacions nacionals i europees. In addition to Alghero there are some hamlets, among which are Fertilia, Maristella, Tramariglio. These otherwise quiet places are crowded especially in the summer months. The Alghero-Fertilia/Riviera del Corallo airport serves the area, attracting numerous tourists both Italians and foreigners due to the growing supply of domestic and European destinations. Its territory includes the two main types: mostly flat in the area south of the city and mixed north: here is the highest relief of the area, Mount D' Olla or Doglia, which with 442 meters, It stands as the highest peak in the area. In the northwest instead it stands the massive promontory of Capo Caccia that dominates the bay. Along the coast ar many inlets and the southern part of the coast looks jagged (with the exception of Poglina beach at La Speranza); in the northern part is devoted to beaches that wind from the port of Alghero to Fertilia (about 7 km) and then give way, once the hamlet, inlets and coves interspersed with beaches including Bombarde, to arrive in , near which lies the village of Maristella. Proceeding to the north - west is the Mugoni beach before arriving to meet the villages of Tramariglio and Pischina Salida, before arriving at , where, among other things, is land access to the Neptune's Grotto. Così chiamata per la grande importanza del corallo rosso che nelle sue acque viene pescato e lavorato per farne gioielli ed ornamenti fin dai tempi dell'antica Roma. Si tratta di una regione turistica facente capo ad Alghero e comprendente, oltre alla città catalana di Sardegna, anche alcuni centri limitrofi come Villanova Monteleone. Sono presenti alcune frazioni, tra le quali ricordiamo Fertilia, Maristella, Tramariglio, località tranquille che si popolano soprattutto nei mesi estivi. Nel territorio sorge inoltre l'aeroporto di Alghero-Fertilia, che ha sempre svolto un ruolo trainante nello sviluppo della Riviera, attirando in città numerosi flussi turistici sia italiani che stranieri grazie alla sempre maggiore offerta di destinazioni nazionali ed europee.
