La iglesia está dedicada a San Peregrino de Auxerre, un sacerdote romano nombrado por el Papa Sixto II, quien había sufrido el martirio en Galia en el siglo III. Es una de las iglesias más antiguas de la Ciudad del Vaticano. Se hizo la capilla de la Gendarmería y los bomberos de la Ciudad del Vaticano en 1977. (es)
- L'église San Pellegrino (en français : église saint Pérégrin) est un lieu de culte catholique situé au Vatican, mais faisant partie du quartier du Borgo à Rome en Italie. L'église est dédiée à saint Peregrinus, premier évêque d'Auxerre, martyrisé en l'an 304. Il s'agit de l'une des plus anciennes églises du Vatican. Elle est attribuée au corps de gendarmerie de l'État de la Cité du Vatican ainsi qu'aux pompiers : une messe pour les gendarmes et les sapeurs pompiers, y est célébrée tous les jours à 7 heures. (fr)
- The Church of San Pellegrino in Vaticano (English: Saint Peregrine in the Vatican) is an ancient Roman Catholic oratory in the Vatican City, located on the Via dei Pellegrini. The church is dedicated to Saint Peregrine of Auxerre, a Roman priest appointed by Pope Sixtus II who had suffered martyrdom in Gaul in the third century. It is one of the oldest churches in the Vatican City. The church now serves as the chapel of the Pontifical Gendarmerie and the firefighters of the Vatican City and is entrusted to the care of the chaplain of the corps —currently Msgr. Giulio Viviani. É uma das igrejas mais antigas do Vaticano.
