Seaboard World Airlines Flight 253A was a military charter flight carrying 214 American troops bound for South Vietnam. On July 1, 1968, the plane was intercepted by Soviet jets after it unintentionally violated Soviet airspace. В ходе него самолёт Douglas DC-8 Super 63CF авиакомпании Seaboard World Airlines, США, нарушил воздушную границу СССР. Самолёт вылетел с военной базы близ г. Сиэтл в США. Его конечным пунктом была военная база , Япония. На борту самолёта находились 214 военных, направлявшихся на войну в Южный Вьетнам, и 24 члена экипажа.
