Severino Albarracín Broseta (1851–1878) was a Spanish anarchist. Trained as a teacher, he became a leader of the Spanish Regional Federation of the First International and was a prominent participant in the 1873 Petroleum Revolution general strike in Alcoy. Exiled in Switzerland, he participated in the Jura Federation, where he remained an insurrectionist while working as a laborer. He returned to Spain after several years, where he died of tuberculosis.

Militant de la FRE de l'AIT, assistí al 2n congrés de la FRE de l'AIT a Saragossa el 1872, on fou nomenat membre del Consell Federal (secretari de la comarca del Sud) i, quan el congrés de Còrdova eliminà el Consell Federal, (desembre 1872-gener 1873) fou designat per formar part de la Comissió de Correspondència i Estadística, a més de secretari de l'Interior. Participà en la revolta cantonalista d'Alcoi de 1873, on presidí el Comitè de Salut Pública. Un cop suprimida la revolta, es refugià a Suïssa, on residí usant els documents d'identitat de Gabriel Albagès. Participà en el Congrés de Berna de l'AIT d'octubre de 1876 i es relacionà amb Piotr Kropotkin. Tornà a Espanya l'any 1877 i s'instal·la a Barcelona on morí de tuberculosi el febrer de 1878. (ca)

Er spielte eine Rolle in der Erhebung von Alcoy in der Ersten Republik 1873. Albarracín Broseta war 1868 in der Republikanischen Jugend von Valencia aktiv, seit 1871 Mitglied der Federació Regional Espanyola de l'AIT (Spanische Föderation der Internationalen Arbeiterassoziation) und wurde in der Konferenz von Saragossa zunächst Mitglied in deren Rat und nach dessen Auflösung in der Konferenz von Córdoba 1872/73 Mitglied im Ausschuss für Korrespondenz und Statistik sowie Sekretär für innere Angelegenheiten. Er nahm im Juli 1873 in führender Stellung, nämlich als Mitglied eines leitenden Ausschusses, an einem kantonalistischen Aufstand im Ort Alcoy teil, in dem Arbeiter zunächst streikten und sich dann gewaltsam erhoben. Der Aufstand endete schließlich mit der Aufgabe der Aufständischen. Friedrich Engels bezieht sich ausgiebig auf dieses Ereignis in seiner Schrift gegen Bakunisten und Allianzisten von 1873. Albarracín Broseta wurde im April 1874 vorübergehend verhaftet und ging darauf eine Zeitlang zu seinen Gesinnungsgenossen in die Schweiz. Er nahm am VIII. Kongress der Antiautoritären Internationalen in Bern teil, wo er Peter Kropotkin, James Guillaume und Paul Brousse traf. Nach seiner Rückkehr nach Spanien 1877 ließ er sich in Barcelona nieder, wo er im Februar 1878 an Tuberkulose verstarb. (de)
