Sheetla Mata Temple (/ˈʃiːtlə ˈmɑːtə/; Hindi: श्री शीतला माता मंदिर Hindi pronunciation: [ʃɾi ˈʃiːt̪lɑː mɑːˈt̪ɑː ˈmənd̪ɪɾ], Punjabi: ਸ਼ੀਤਲਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਮੰਦਰ) is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Shitala (Sheetla), wife of Guru Dronacharya who was the teacher of the Pandavas and Kauravas according to an Indian epic Mahabharata. The temple is located on Sheetla Mata Road in Gurugram (earlier known as Gurgaon) city of Gurugram district in the state of Haryana in India. The shrine is very famous and is visited by large number of people during Navaratri and other festivals.
