| - El Purgatori de Sant Patrici és un antic lloc de peregrinació a l'illa Station, al llac Lough Derg, al comtat de Donegal, Irlanda. Segons la llegenda, el lloc data del segle v, quan Crist va mostrar a Sant Patrici una cova, a vegades coneguda com a pou, a l'illa Station que era una entrada al Purgatori. La seva importància a l’època medieval es desprèn del fet que s’esmenta en textos de l’any 1185 i es mostra en mapes de tota Europa ja al segle xv. És l'únic lloc irlandès designat al mapa mundial de Martin Behaim del 1492. (ca)

Si Jocelin, moine de Furness, le situe sur le mont Croagh Patrick dans le comté de Mayo à l'Ouest de l'Irlande, Sylvester Giraldus le place dans sa Topographia Hibernica, avec de nombreux auteurs à sa suite, sur l'Île des Saints, (ang. Saints Island ou Station Island) sur le Lough Derg dans le comté de Donegal en Ulster. L'office de saint Patrick avec mention du purgatoire fut inséré dans le Bréviaire romain qui fut donné à Venise vers la fin du XVe siècle. (fr)

- St Patrick's Purgatory is an ancient pilgrimage site on Station Island in Lough Derg, County Donegal, Ireland. According to legend, the site dates from the fifth century, when Christ showed Saint Patrick a cave, sometimes referred to as a pit or a well, on Station Island that was an entrance to Purgatory.Its importance in medieval times is clear from the fact that it is mentioned in texts from as early as 1185 and shown on maps from all over Europe as early as the fifteenth century. It is the only Irish site designated on Martin Behaim's world map of 1492. (en)
