While initially a chiptune act, the duo started moving towards a more synthpop sound with their 2010 album , which also was the first album in the "Robot Trilogy," along with the industrial and the B-Side collection . Starting with these albums, the duo began incorporating strings, pianos, synthetic voices, and more traditional synthpop tropes to their sound, along with some elements of hip-hop and dance music. Despite this, they never did move away from chiptunes entirely, as seen with songs like "Cyberfreak Burnout" from Ruby Dagger and "Love, The Elephant" from . On August 1, 2019, the majority of Starship Amazing's back catalog were released on music streaming services Spotify and Apple Music. (en)
