TeamGym is a form of competition created by the European Union of Gymnastics. The first official competition was held in Finland in 1996. Originally named EuroTeam, TeamGym received its current name in 2002. From 1996 to 2008, the European Championships was an event for clubs; since 2010 the competition is contested with national teams representing different countries. TeamGym events consist of three sections: women, men and mixed teams. Gymnasts perform skills in three different disciplines: floor, tumbling and trampette. In common for the performance is effective teamwork, good technique in the elements and spectacular acrobatic skills.

- Truppgymnastik är en tävlingsform inom gymnastik som växte fram på 1980-talet i Sverige. Det är den populäraste gymnastikdisciplinen i Sverige med drygt 19 000 licensierade tävlingsgymnaster (2011). Sverige tillhör världstoppen i truppgymnastik tillsammans med framför allt Danmark på herrsidan, samt Island på damsidan. Gymnasterna tävlar i lag på ca 6-20 gymnaster beroende på vilken tävlingsnivå det rör sig om och tävlingar sker i damklass, herrklass, mixad klass samt öppen klass. I mix måste hälften vara pojkar och hälften flickor vilket skiljer sig mot öppen klass där alla oavsett kön får delta. De grenar man tävlar i är tumbling, trampett och fristående. Domare ger en poäng för varje redskap som i sin tur består av delpoänger. Det är ca 4-8 domare i varje gren. (sv)

Ačkoliv sport vychází z gymnastiky, nesoutěží cvičenci v šesti (respektive ženy ve 4 ) klasických disciplínách sportovní gymnastiky. Tato gymnastická disciplína, má své kořeny ve Skandinávii, konkrétně ve Švédsku a to již od 70.let 20. století. Každý tým je složen z 6 - 12 cvičenců. Týmy mohou být mužské, ženské a mixované (polovina mužů, polovina žen). Základní rozdělení do kategorií je podle věku na Junior (do 16 let) a Senior (od 16 let). (cs)

È una disciplina riconosciuta dalla UEG dal 2004. La prima competizione ufficiale di TeamGym si è svolta in Finlandia nel 1996, ed attualmente un campionato europeo di club si svolge ogni anno pari. Týmy závodníků předvádějí společný program na hudbu ve třech disciplínách – pohybová skladba, akrobacie a trampolína. Program cvičení obsahuje prvky ze sportovní gymnastiky a akrobacie. Družstvo, které získá po předvedení sestav v jednotlivých disciplínách v součtu nejvyšší počet bodů, vyhrává. (cs)
