Tectariaceae is a family of leptosporangiate ferns in the order Polypodiales. In the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group classification of 2016 (PPG I), the family is placed in the suborder Polypodiineae. Alternatively, it may be treated as the subfamily Tectarioideae of a very broadly defined family Polypodiaceae sensu lato. The family comprises seven genera, of which Tectaria is by far the largest.

Kramer)와 그의 공저자들이 플레오크네미아속(Pleocnemia)과 현재 텍타리아과에 속하는 7개 속을 관중과에 속하는 하나의 아과로 취급했다. 나머지 아르트롭테리스속(Arthropteris)과 프삼미오소루스속(Psammiosorus)은 올레안드라속(Oleandra)과 함께 줄고사리과로 분류했다. 크레이머의 관중과 분류는 이제 다계통군임이 밝혀졌다. 아르트롭테리스속과 프삼미오소루스속은 텍타리아과의 나머지 속과 자매군으로써 일종의 분류군을 형성한다. 그리고 텍타리아과는 줄고사리과와 넉줄고사리과 그리고 고란초과로 이루어진 분류군의 자매군이다. 2006년 양치식물 분류가 개정되면서 텍타리아과는 별도의 과로 인정받았다. 2007년 관중과에 대한 분자생물학적 연구를 통해 플레오크네미아속(Pleocnemia)을 관중과에 포함시켰다. 또한 2007년에 드라코글로숨속(Dracoglossum)이 새롭게 등록되었다. 이 속은 히포데리스속(Hypoderris)과 근연 관계에 있는 것으로 추정하고 있다. 텍타리아과가 계통발생학 분석의 주요 대상이 된적은 없으며, 하위 속 사이의 관계에 대한 이해도 아주 낮았다. 최근에는 텍타리아속(Tectaria)을 크테니톱시스속(Ctenitopsis)과 쿠에르키필릭스속(Quercifilix), 헤미그람마속(Hemigramma)을 포함해 넓게 정의하고 있으며, 이는 여러 연구를 통해 입증되고 있다.
