Terry Ellis (born 14 August 1943, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England), is an English record producer and manager who worked with the early Jethro Tull band, and as co-founder of music company Chrysalis Records in 1969. After buying out Ellis in 1985, Wright sold the Chrysalis Records label to EMI in 1991, and finally sold the entire operation to a consortium consisting of BMG and private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts in 2010.

Ellis se narodil v Hertfordshire v Anglii. Na University of Newcastle upon Tyne absolvoval s čestnými tituly v matematice a metalurgii. V roce 1967 začal na částečný pracovní úvazek zajišťovat na koleji koncerty a v tomtéž roce později začal podnikat spolu s Chrisem Wrightem při vytvoření agentury Ellis-Wright Agency. Ta v roce 1968 rozšířila své aktivity na management umělců s tím, že Terry byl manažerem a Jethro Tull a Chris manažerem Ten Years After a Procol Harum. Produkoval několik nahrávek Jethro Tull: This Was, Aqualung a Stand Up. (cs)
