Tetsu Yamauchi (山内 テツ, Yamauchi Tetsu, born 21 October 1946) is a Japanese retired bass guitarist. In the 1970s, he was a member of several popular hard rock bands, including Free, where he replaced former bassist Andy Fraser before the band's final album Heartbreaker, and the Faces, where he replaced Ronnie Lane and appears on the band's final single, "You Can Make Me Dance, Sing or Anything", as well as touring with them and playing on the live album Coast to Coast: Overture and Beginners. He also recorded a number of solo albums and did extensive work as a session musician before retiring from the music industry in the late 1990s.

  • Tetsu Yamauchi ou Tetsuo Yamauchi, né le 21 octobre 1946 à Fukuoka au Japon, est un bassiste japonais. Yamauchi est né à Fukuoka, au Japon. À la fin des années 1960, il joue avec Mickey Curtis et son groupe appelé Samurai. Son implication avec ce groupe l'a amené à travailler comme musicien de session à Tokyo et à Londres. Il est devenu ami avec Ginger Baker et Alan Merrill. En 1972, il a enregistré l'album Kossoff, Kirke, Tetsu et Rabbit avec le guitariste du groupe Free, Paul Kossoff et le batteur Simon Kirke, ainsi que le claviériste John "Rabbit" Bundrick. Il a ensuite rejoint Free pour leur dernier album.
