The Jerusalem International Writers Festival is an annual festival that takes place at the in Jerusalem, Israel. Since Mishkenot Sha’ananim opened its doors in 1974, literature has played a central role in its activities. The Jerusalem International Writers Festival was first held in 2008 and was a biennial event until 2018, when it was decided to hold it on a yearly basis. Each year, it features some forty writers from Israel and other countries who take part in events on the Mishkenot campus and other locations in the city. The festival has been organized by Moti Schwartz since 2014.
