The Master is an Indonesian reality television show aired on RCTI. It is a competition between stage magicians in which the winner is decided by viewer vote. It first aired 6 February 2009, and has the slogan "Mencari Bintang Tanpa Mantera" ("Finding a star without charm"). The show consists of some magicians performing their magic and trying to become The Master. In every episode, one contestant who receives the lowest SMS vote is eliminated from the competition. After each act, the judges (3–4) give their comments. The host is Nico Siahaan. The Master became Indonesia's most popular TV series, with 11.4 million viewers.

Setiap selesai menampilkan aksinya, para kandidat akan dikomentari oleh dewan juri yang terdiri dari 3 orang, yaitu 2 orang dewan juri tetap, Deddy Corbuzier, Romy Rafael dan mungkin 1 orang lainnya berbeda-beda setiap episodenya yaitu artis yang sedang populer. "The Master" dipandu oleh Nico Siahaan di 4 musim awal, lalu kemudian oleh Adi Nugroho di musim kelima. The Master mampu meraih rating sebanyak 11,4. Di luar negeri ada satu acara yang mirip yang itu durasi tayangnya lebih pendek (hanya 60 menit termasuk iklan) beda dengan acara The Master yang durasinya bisa dari 120 menit hingga lebih, tergantung bagaimana pertunjukkan para perserta. The Master memenangkan Panasonic Gobel Awards untuk kategori Pencarian Bakat Terbaik pada tahun 2010. Pada tahun 2012, The Master kembali lagi setelah berhenti 2 tahun pada 2010 dan 2011. (in)
