John Thomas "Tom" Surman (second ¼ 1883 – first ¼ 1948) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1900s and 1910s. He played at representative level for England and Yorkshire, and at club level for Bradford FC, Bradford Northern and Hull Kingston Rovers, as a stand-off or scrum-half, i.e. number 6, or 7. Prior to Tuesday 27 August 1895, Bradford F.C. was a rugby union club, it then became a rugby league club, and since 1907 it has been the association football (soccer) club Bradford Park Avenue.
