| - Prós aoire Meán-Ghaeilge is ea Tromdhámh Ghuaire (aitheanta fosta mar Imtheacht na Tromdhaimhe) maidir leis an gcaidreamh idir patrún agus file, agus mí-úsáid pribhléide. Cé go bhfuil sé deacair dáta a chur leis an téacs, creidtear gur scríobhadh é ní ba luaite ná 1300. Ní chaomhnaítear an téacs ach sa lámhscríbhinn Leabhar Mhic Cárthaigh Riabhaigh nó Leabhar Leasa Mhóir, a théann siar féin go dtí an cúigiú haois. Is in Éirinn den 7ú haois atá ann scéal suite, scigaithris ar chleachtas aoire na bhfilí. Is scéal iardhearcach é de chuid na 12ú haoise ar an 7ú haois. (ga)
