The Union of Georgian Traditionalists (Georgian: ქართველ ტრადიციონალისტთა კავშირი) was a national political organization of the Georgian Political Emigration in the 1930s, established in 1942 in Berlin. It was founded by Prince Irakli Bagration-Mukhraneli (chairman), Zurab Avalishvili, Mikheil Tsereteli, Grigol Robakidze, Kita Chkhenkeli, Shalva Maglakelidze, Shalva Amirejibi, Spiridon Kedia, Markoz Tugushi, Giorgi Kvinitadze, Leo Kereselidze, Revaz Gabashvili, David Vachnadze, Alexandre Asatiani, Svimon Tsitsishvili, and other distinguished Georgian emigrants. En 1989 la Unió va ser restaurada a Tbilissi com a partit pro-occidental, partidari de l'economia de lliure mercat i l'entrada de Geòrgia a l'OTAN i a la Unió Europea. El 1990 - 1992 aquesta organització formà part de la coalició de partits polítics Mrgvali Magida - Tavisupali Sakartvelo, liderada per Zviad Gamsakhurdia, que va guanyar les primeres eleccions pluripartidistes el 28 d'octubre de 1990. El cap de la Unió, , va ser vicepresident (1990 - 1991) i president (1991 - 1992) del Consell Suprem de la República de Geòrgia. A les eleccions legislatives georgianes de 1995 va obtenir 89.752 vots (el 4,22%) i 2 escons al Parlament de Geòrgia. A les eleccions legislatives georgianes de 2004 el partit formà part de l', que només va obtenir el 2,5% dels vots i cap escó. A les eleccions legislatives georgianes de 2008 es presentà com a part del Bloc Electoral Tradicionalistes – Geòrgia Nostra i Partit de les Dones, però només va obtenir 7.880 vots (0,44%) i no obtingué representació parlamentària. Its main goals were: * The restoration of the state independence of Georgia * The adoption of a constitutional monarchy in Georgia During World War II, the Union collaborated with the German Wehrmacht. In 1989 the Union was restored in Tbilisi. In 1990–92, it was a member of the Coalition of the Political Parties and Organizations "Mrgvali Magida – Tavisupali Sakartvelo" (The Round Table – Free Georgia. Leader: Dr. Zviad Gamsakhurdia, who later became 1st President of Georgia). On 28 October 1990 the coalition won the first multiparty and democratic parliamentary elections. The Union's chairman, Akaki Asatiani, was a deputy chairman (1990–91) and chairman (1991–92) of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia. At the 2004 Georgian parliamentary election, it was part of the National Democratic Alliance. (en)
