Virginia Cox, FBA (born 1962) is a British scholar of early modern Italian literature, culture and history. She is Honorary Professor of Early Modern Italian Literature and Culture at the University of Cambridge, and a senior research fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. She was formerly Professor of Italian at New York University. In 2022, she was elected a Fellow of the British Academy (FBA), the United Kingdom's national academy for the humanities and social sciences.
