The Warsaw Fotoplastikon is a stereoscopic theatre based on the Kaiserpanorama system of rotating stereoscopic images located in Warsaw, Poland. Operating at the same location since 1905, it is the oldest stereoscopic theatre in Europe still in business at its original location. Today it operates as a branch of the Museum of the Warsaw Uprising.

| - Das Fotoplastikon in Warschau befindet sich in einem Hinterhofgebäude an den Aleje Jerozolimskie 51. Es ist das älteste seit seiner Aufstellung an seinem Originalplatz stehende Kaiserpanorama der Welt. Im Jahr 1901 wurde erstmals in der Warschauer Tageszeitung Kurier Warszawski über ein Fotoplastikon berichtet. Es wurde vermutlich schon 1905 an seinem heutigen Standort aufgestellt. Das Gebäude selbst war um 1900 im neubarocken Stil errichtet worden. Während der deutschen Besatzungszeit von 1939 bis Mitte Januar 1945 wurde der knapp 40 Quadratmeter große Raum von den deutschen Behörden nicht kontrolliert, sodass dort Treffen polnischer Widerstandskämpfer stattfinden konnten. Auch in den 1950er und 1960er Jahren trafen sich hier regimekritische Warschauer ein, die sich Bilder aus westeuropäischen Großstädten ansehen und Jazzmusik anhören konnten. Vor dem Krieg wurde das Fotoplastikon von Józef Chudy und in der Nachkriegszeit von seinem Sohn Tadeusz betrieben. Der heutige Besitzer ist dessen Sohn Tomasz. Am 16. Juli 2008 unterzeichnete das Museum des Warschauer Aufstandes eine Vereinbarung mit Chudy, nach der das Museum die Aufsicht über den Betrieb des Fotoplastikons übernahm. Dieser Vertrag resultierte aus der Entscheidung der Einwohner der Stadt, das Fotoplastikon zu einem der historischen Denkmäler Warschaus zu machen. Die umfangreiche, aus rund 3.000 Exemplaren bestehende Stereoskopie-Fotosammlung wird seitdem in ständig wechselnden Themenblöcken präsentiert. Das Plastikon ist eines der weltweit wenigen noch betriebenen Geräte dieses Typs. (de)
