West Virginia's 1st congressional district is currently located in the northern part of the state. It is the most regularly drawn of the state's three districts. As a result of the state's loss of a seat as a result of the 2020 United States census the district will be completely changed for the 2022 congressional elections. The district is currently represented by David McKinley, a Republican who has represented the district since 2011.
