ShortSummary
  • After a music video shoot, Megumi and Tia head to a nearby amusement park to spend the day with Kiyo and Zatch, whom they have asked out. Along the way, the girls stop at a clothing shop where they meet a young woman named Marie who offers them to trade clothes for a while; Megumi agrees. However, Marie leaves with Megumi's purse which carries Tia's spell book. The two give chase but are hindered by Marie's protective butler Orem, who misidentifies Megumi. Realizing that Marie has evaded him, Orem explains that she is due to become queen of her kingdom and that a mercenary is after her. During the search, Megumi is taken hostage by the mercenary who also mistakes her for the princess. Tia quickly finds Marie, warning her of Megumi's plight. Risking her own life, Marie turns the mercenary's attention onto herself, a distraction during which Megumi uses Tia's spells to protect the princess and subdue the assailant. Afterwards, Marie thanks Tia for her help and bids her farewell. Now running late, Megumi and Tia continue on their way to Kiyo and Zatch. NOTE: The Viz Media adaptation lightens the tone of this episode. The man attempting to assassinate Marie is instead sent to kidnap her, presumably to take over her kingdom's throne. The gun he carries has been remasked a glowing green. (en)
