Andre Agassi defeated the two-time defending champion Pete Sampras in the final, 3–6, 6–2, 7–6(7–3) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 1995 Miami Open. With the score tied 2–2 in the second set, Agassi found himself down 0–30 on his serve. He then won an amazing 17 points in a row to win the second set, and ultimately, the match.
