The 2012 PGA Championship was the 94th PGA Championship, played August 9–12 at the Ocean Course of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, southwest of Charleston. Rory McIlroy shot a bogey-free 66 (−6) in the final round to win his second major title by eight strokes over runner-up David Lynn. Television coverage was provided in the United States by CBS and TNT, and in the United Kingdom by Sky Sports. It was the first major championship at Kiawah Island; the Ocean Course hosted the Ryder Cup in 1991. The PGA Championship returned in May 2021.
